Job Description:
Our Client
A well-established housing association in London, dedicated to providing affordable homes and creating vibrant communities are looking to recruit a Financial Controller into the team. This is a great opportunity for someone stepping into their first Financial Controller position.
The Role:
* Implement and monitor financial policies and procedures to ensure strong controls are being adopted.
* Manage financial reporting and month-end processes alongside the weekly transactions process.
* Production of the management accounts, journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Management of 3 direct reports across the transactions team.
* Oversee taxation compliance and liaise with advisors.
* Support internal and external audit processes.
The Successful Candidate: * Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) - Qualified by Experience will be considered.
* Strong understanding of producing management accounts.
* Excellent leadership and team management experience.
* Ability to analyse financial data and provide actionable insights.
* Effective communication and training skills.
