Job Description:
Accounts Assistant | Part Time | South Belfast | Hybrid working
Reed Accountancy & Finance are working closely with a client within the charitable sector in South Belfast who have an opportunity for a Accounts Assistant to join their team on a part time basis, ideally 25 hours per week.
This is a permanent opportunity offering hybrid working, 60% office based and 40% working from home.
This job offers variety assisting with all aspects of finance administration, payroll and compliance.

The job duties will involve:
Manage and process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner
Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
Service organisational banking requirements e.g. creation of payments through on-line banking, reconciliation of credit card, printing of bank statements, etc
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and information to inform financial reporting compiled by our external accountant provider
Liaise with departmental managers and the organisation’s Financial Services Provider to ensure timely delivery of required financial information with the appropriate level of detail and accuracy
Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll and set payments up on online banking for approval
Maintain and update financial databases and records
Bank match income and expenditure ahead of the reconciliation being completed by outsourced finance
Identifying accruals or prepayments from day to day postings
Identifying fixed assets and updating register
Queries around posting and allocations
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
Assist with the preparation of all requirements related to internal and external audits
Assist in the day- to- day administration tasks for the purposes of accounts and finance
Essential Criteria
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
