Data Migration Specialist - Transforming Digital Services
Join our dynamic team as a Data Migration Specialist! We’re seeking a skilled professional to play a pivotal role in transforming our digital services.
We need someone who understands the challenges of migrating old data and improving quality to our new system NEC Housing.
You will bring your strong knowledge of the NEC Housing system and of data migration, management and quality to help drive and deliver the successful implementation of our new digital solution.
The role is dedicated to the NEC Housing Project, but the underlying approach must be consistent with the strategy and principles set out by the Head of Digital.
Essential Skills:
* Solid knowledge of NEC system and data loading
* Experience in writing, running, and validating data migration extracts
* Strong understanding of how to write rules for making data from OHMS / other systems fit into NEC Housing
* Strong SQL skills for data extraction and transformation
* Work closely with Business Applications team for OHMS knowledge
* Proficiency in writing rules for migrating data between systems
* Understanding of relational databases
Public Sector Experience: Previous experience working with public sector data is highly desirable. Knowledge of compliance requirements and unique challenges in public sector data management is essential.
The Role: This role is dedicated to ensuring a consistent approach aligned with our digital strategy. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with occasional office visits.
Contract Term: The initial contract term is 3 months part-time, with possible extensions and the potential to go full-time (5 days).
