Job Description:
Summary With your enthusiasm to provide a great service, you’ll welcome and talk to our visitors to the shop and pant centre answering any questions they have.

£11.50 per hour
Contract duration:
Fixed term contract until 1st September 2025
These roles are based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.
Contract 1:
You’ll work 1191 hours per year, and on average, you’ll work 2 week days and 1 weekend day (alternate Saturday & Sunday) but again, this will be flexible depending on operational demand.
Contract 2:
You’ll work 794 hours per year, and on average, you’ll work 1 week day and 1 weekend day (alternate Saturday & Sunday) but again, this will be flexible depending on operational demand.
Your working hours will be 1st October - 31st January 9am-4pm, 1st February- 31st March 9am- 5pm, 1st April- 30th September 9am- 5.30pm.

Anglesey Abbey is one of the busiest shops in the National Trust. We attract customers all year round with a continuing programme of seasonal highlights from Snowdrops to Dahlias. With expanding Summer and Christmas events there is always something to get excited about.
We have one of the largest Plant Centres in the National Trust and pride ourselves on being able to offer our visitors a broad selection of plants and garden products to take home. The shop has a great selection of local and regional products that link to and tell stories about our property.

What you’ll be doing As a Retail Team Member you’ll offer customers help and shopping advice with their purchases. Other duties may include receiving, unpacking, and arranging deliveries, supporting the plant centre operation, creating shop displays and working with other members of the team to keep the shop floor area clean and organised. This role would suit anyone with an enthusiasm for delivering great customer service and an interest in learning about retail.
