About the role:

As an Assembly Technician, you will use precision tools to assemble products by hand according to technical drawings and manufacturing instructions. Working in a factory environment, you will operate various tools, including measuring instruments, electric pillar drills, band saws, belt sanders, and hand tools such as screwdrivers, press fits, and hammers. The role also involves maintaining records related to test data and instrument serial numbering.

Success in this role requires strong numerical skills, teamwork, individual ability, and an analytical mindset. You will be directly involved in the manufacture and production of customer orders. Attention to detail, accuracy, steady hands, personal stamina, and a passion for continuous improvement are essential.
Your career progression will be closely monitored with regular coaching and mentoring to help you advance to the next level.

Responsibilities:
" Setup and operate equipment according to work instructions.
" Inspect machined workpieces to specifications based on standard operating procedures (SOPs).
" Verify that inspection tools issued for the job are available and correct.
" Receive and verify work orders, ensuring that the components are correct.
" Notify Supervisor or Lead if equipment is not operating properly.
" Meet required production and quality standards.
" Complete necessary documentation with accuracy and minimal errors.
" Keep the work area clean, tidy, and organized.
" Notify the Production Manager or General Manager of safety or production issues.

Basic Requirements:
" Ability to perform written tasks by reading, understanding, and following work instructions.
" Basic skills in reading blueprints or technical drawings.
" Understanding of measuring equipment and instruments.
" General knowledge of tool life.
" Proper use of Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
" Use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as required or directed.
" Ability to work independently when necessary.
" Demonstrates good housekeeping etiquette.
" Good coordination and manual dexterity.
" Ability to work quickly and accurately.
" Good math skills and an understanding of angles and "fit to" parameters.
" Strong teamwork skills.
" Problem-solving skills.

" Mon - Thu 7:30- 4:30pm
" Friday. 7:30am - 12:30pm

" 23 days holiday and bank holidays
