Job Description:
Our client, is a global, US owned, Manufacturing business based in Derby, seeking a Group Accountant to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis!
This role will be reporting into the Senior Financial Controller and will have a clear progression plan in place.
As Group Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties:
* Creating monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends and financial forecasts
* Consolidating Group companies
* Liaising with Professional advisers overseas to ensure local statutory reporting and tax compliance
* Business planning and budgeting, assisting in maximising profits by controlling costs and maximising margins
* Managing Group cashflow and forecasting
* Reviewing all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities and check for discrepancies
* Closing down month-end and year-end trading activities, balancing ledgers, production of annual statutory accounts with auditors
* Statutory reporting, and preparing information for annual accounts and audit files
The successful Group Accountant will have the following experience/qualifications:
* Fully Qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
* Able to build, develop, and maintain strong working relationships at all levels
* Be able to work on your own initiative and support your team to do the same
* US GAAP & SOX experience will be advantageous
* Strong on Management & Financial Accounting
As Group Accountant, you will be entitled to the following:
* Permanent, full-time contract
* £60,000 - £70,000 per annum
* Hybrid working - 2 days on site in Derby, 3 days from home!
