Job Description:
We are looking for professional individuals on a casual basis to support our team at Innovate with the marking of Extended Answer exams.
What will you be doing?
* Attend Standardisation before commencement of marking dates with IAO Development team and Chief Examiner.
* At the Standardisation meeting the Chief Examiner will present previously selected scripts to the team to be discussed and marks agreed, which serves as a benchmark, giving a full explanation of the mark scheme and any clarification of its application. The meeting should also confirm and clarify other issues concerning marking, for example malpractice.
* You will be given instructions on how to mark using the Surpass system. (see Guidance for Markers for CPC EAQ On-screen Tests)
* During the Standardisation meeting you will be required to mark a further 10 sample scripts. Your marked scripts will be moderated either at or after the meeting. (2 days)
* Once marking is completed you should produce a report which provides information about the candidates’ responses. (1/2 day)
* Process to be repeated as required for resit.
* All work to be submitted to date agreed upon at Standardisation session.
* A minimum of 80% of work submitted must be to agreed brief. If less than 80%, then payment will be adjusted.
