About the opportunity:
We are working as the internal recruitment partner for our client, a global organisation offering excellence in supply chain solutions to the aerospace industry.
We are presenting a brilliant opportunity for a highly experienced Inspection Team Leader to join their Quality team at their new, state of the art facility in West Horndon.
This is a newly created role to oversee the day-to-day running of the inspection department, providing support and guidance to the inspectors whilst ensuring all products entering the business are adequately inspected and handled in accordance with company operating standards.
You will perform visual, dimensional, and documentation inspections of incoming parts and outgoing products, identifying deficiencies, and coordinating the corrective actions required.
Your role will be largely focused on the control and verification of associated documentation including FAIRs and trace paperwork, so excellent accuracy skills are imperative.
You will also be tasked with analysing the inspection results and outcome data, compiling detailed reports for the senior management team.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role with working knowledge of aerospace regulations in relation to quality management processes.
You will have knowledge of problem-solving techniques and tools with a forward-thinking mentality, capable of identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities.
Requirements
Who we are looking for:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
* Proven experience in a similar role within the aviation sector, or other quality critical sectors such as Medical or Defence.
* Working knowledge of FAIRs, and other documentation associated with the distribution of similar materials.
* Ability to understand paperwork trace documentation.
* Experience with measuring equipment (verniers, micrometres etc.) and the ability to read and understand technical drawings.
* Effective team management skills.
* Computer literate with an intermediate skillset in Excel. Knowledge of Power BI would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of problem-solving techniques and tools.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Highly accurate and organised.
