Job Description:
Trinity House Group is seeking a Chartered Accountant to join a great client based in Barwell, Leicestershire for a part time role 2-3days per week. The role ideally suits a commercially experienced FD or FC who is looking to adjust their work-life balance.
Job Role:
* Form a close working relationship with the Managing Director and other senior managers within the business
* Regularly undertake audits, involving the examination of the organisation’s accounts, analysing risk, inspecting the organisation’s current practices, investigating any financial irregularities and recommending pragmatic improvements
* Review, implement and adapt new and existing financial systems and controls
* Analyse annual and monthly accounts as produced by our inhouse finance team.
* Manage expenditure, credit, payroll and investments
* Advise managers on financial policy and control, such as the costs and benefits of a particular project
* Deal with and advise on tax issues, ensuring compliance with tax legislation
* Negotiate business terms with associated organisations such as suppliers, Banks and Auditors
* Ensure corporate budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed
Requirements:
* Be an ACCA or ICAEW member.
* A methodical, realistic approach and strong problem-solving skills to overcome financial anomalies.
* A good level of computer literacy, including knowledge of relevant software applications, such as accounting packages
* Sound business acumen to effectively support and guide strategic business decisions
* Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and make accurate conclusions
* Management of currency
