My client is a market leading healthcare business based in Birmingham.
They are now looking for a Logistics Planning Manager to design and lead their planning & optimisation strategy across a network of 5 sites. Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain
My client is a leading healthcare business based in Birmingham who have experienced record growth over the last few years and have also had significant investment into the organisation.
They are looking for an experienced Logistics Planning Manager with a track record of delivering Planning & CI initiatives across a network of sites.
As Logistics Planning Manager you will be responsible for the following:
* Work with the Operations Management team to champion continuous improvements across the network and drive efficiencies.
* Utilise daily, weekly and seasonal trends to assist with preparation for increases and decreases in volume and communicate findings.
* Be the operational lead during resource meetings with relevant stakeholders to embed strong consistent resource planning.
* Ensure the sites maintain SLAs, liaising with the relevant teams; depot management, IT, supply chain, sales and buying teams to help manage any issues.
* Analyse daily revenues and interpret current resources to ensure costs are managed within agreed budget guidelines.
* Investigate forecasted volumes and challenge any spikes or variances to historical trends.
* Prepare weekly forecast for circulation amongst Senior Management and key stakeholders at depot level.
* To ensure delivery of KPI’s against the budget and to recommend and implement corrective action to address any variances.
* Review financial results and forecasts and determine activity for the next month, quarter and year to ensure cost control, financial savings and efficiency of operations.
* To support new business opportunities, internal changes and projects, from a production, warehouse and logistics.
* Proven track record in leading Planning or Optimisation within Logistics or Supply Chain.
* Understanding and application of process improvement and change management methodologies.
* Experience within a consulting, logistics, warehousing or supply chain industry is essential.
* Ability to assess the wider impact of Operational Change on the business.
* Experience of working on projects involving supply chain transformation for example, transport management, order management or warehouse management systems and platforms.
* Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels within an organisation.
* Commutable to Birmingham.
