Job Description:
Chief Technology Officer - £100,000 - £120,000 car + 20% bonus - Nottingham (hybrid)
This is a fantastic role working for a leading healthcare business based in Nottingham. A classic legacy technology transformation programme bringing bespoke dated system in to the modern age.
The role reports directly in to the CEO and will lead the entire IT function, you will have responsibility for software development, infrastructure, security & service desk. Each team with their own strengths and challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background to be able to work closely with a small software development team to help them modernise and mature in their ways of working.
This business has grown through acquisition, and as such there are a lot of various systems and moving parts that need bringing together. Some quick wins, some long term strategy needed, this is a really varied role.

A few examples of work needing to be done is moving on prem servers in to Azure. Building maturity in software development currently with bespoke system mostly built in VB.net with very little documentation. SQL databases with basic reporting that needs improving.
Required skills & Experience:
* IT leader having sat in the number 1 position leading broad IT teams including software development.
* understanding of IT security and governance.
* Good understanding of VB.net (current tech stack)
* track record of leading technology transformation programmes.
* leader capable of taking teams on a journey.
* to build IT maturity within a legacy team.
* working with in house development teams.
* Career history as a developer to work closely with the small team.
* stakeholder management.
* budget responsibility.
