Your new role
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious NPORS Vehicle Marshal to join our team at Kier Construction. As a Vehicle Marshal, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe movement of vehicles on our building and construction sites. You will do the following.
* Conduct safety checks at work areas, including stop blocks and tipping zones.
* Set up exclusion zones for unloading.
* Guide machinery in both forward and reverse directions, even in confined spaces and blind areas.
* Maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate for vehicle marshal duties.
* Familiarize yourself with manufacturer’s handbooks for specific vehicles/machines.
* Understand signs, signals, and approved hand signals for effective communication.
* Consider environmental factors during vehicle movement.

What you’ll need to succeed
* Good understanding of spoken and written English.
* Proof of passing the CITB health, safety & environmental touch screen test within the last two years.
* No formal qualifications required; we offer foundation training and assessment for those new to the role.
