My client are currently looking to recruit an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join their site on the outskirts of Glasgow.
You will be working with a successful manufacturer that has recently experienced an impressive investment and upturn in sales.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Always ensure safe working practices
* Provide effective supervision and coaching to Apprentices to ensure talent pipeline
* Manage individual team members performance and delivery against objectives
* Develop and coach team members
* Drive to ensure housekeeping is in good order, and 5S is always adhered to
* Drive effective team communication, and communication with key
* Act as point of escalation to support team members
* Drive process improvement
* Work with Technical Manager to develop future strategy/direction of maintenance and tooling functions
* Take proactive approach to improving maintenance and tooling activity
* Support root cause analysis to provide permanent fixes for repeat issues
* Ensure team members have the correct tools available for every job
Qualifications and Experience:
* Time-served maintenance or tooling engineer
* Supervisory/managerial experience
* Experience working in manufacturing environment
