Job Description:

As the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping their financial future, leveraging your expertise in budgeting & forecasting, board reporting, business case production, and developing short and long-term financial strategy. You will be a qualified accountant and bring experience as the number one in finance within a public sector or non-profit environment.
* Lead the development and execution of financial strategies to drive sustainable growth and support their mission to serve their stakeholders.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive board reporting and financial insights that enable informed decision-making.
* Champion the optimization of financial systems and processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Preferred Requirements:
* Demonstrated expertise in budgeting & forecasting, board reporting, business case production, and financial strategy.
* Proven track record as the no. 1 in finance within a public sector or non-profit environment.
* Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret and present complex financial data.
* Excellent communication skills with the aptitude to convey financial information to diverse stakeholders effectively.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to drive financial initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Qualified Accountant status (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent professional certification.
* A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is highly desirable.
* Proven experience in leading finance teams and driving financial excellence within the non-profit or social services sector.
