Job Description:
Class 2 Driver
Based out of Northamptonshire
7am – 5pm
£30-35k DOE
Our reputable client in the trade industry is looking for an experienced Class 2 driver to join their team. Based out of Northamptonshire, this will likely be within a 90-mile radius, however national coverage is required upon business needs. They are looking for someone that has ideally come from a timber or trade industry background, with multi drop experience. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established friendly team.
Key Duties:
* Helping to load vehicles, ensuring orders are complete, and planning best routes.
* Carrying out all daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects to the relevant person.
* Carry out multi drop deliveries and unloading vehicle by hand where required.
* Organising Delivery Paperwork and ensuring, where possible, delivery notes are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
* Keeping vehicle clean.
* Provide excellent customer service.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience of multi drop deliveries.
* Experience of load safety, including strapping.
* Good customer facing skills
* Knowledge of Tacho Rules and Working Times
* Able to organise and manage workload well
* A valid driving licence, with a maximum of 6 points.
* Up to date CPC and Drivers Card.
