Full-time hours only - fully office based role

Lovely family run business based in Barnet are looking to recruit a Trainee Import & Export Co-ordinator/Administrator to join their friendly and supportive team. You will be fully trained but will need to have excellent attention to detail and be proactive in your approach to work. The ideal candidate will live in Barnet or very close and have a minimum of 1 year experience working in an Administration type position in a fast paced environment. The company has a low turnover of staff and are looking for someone who is looking for longevity in their next role.
The ideal skills and qualities of Import & Export Co-ordinator/Administrator:
* Quick leaner
* Calm and professional work manner
* Easy going positive ’can do’ attitude
* Experience in dealing with customers on the phone
* 1 year Admin experience, typing emails, taking calls, updating computer records, excel, word, outlook email
* Lots of detail work - must be used to changing priorities; so a flexible approach is needed
* Must have exceptional spoken & written English
The role of Import & Export Co-ordinator/Administrator will include but not limited to:
* Dealing with consignments globally
* Deal with imports as well as export
* Use specialist software Redberry and HMRC software
* Lots of telephone contact with clients
* Although you will not be packing items, you must be fit enough to walk up and down the stairs, lift products off shelves, weigh them and checking
* Labelling & customs documentation
Salary is £26,000, plus opportunity to gain commission on top if you have some entrepreneurial ’flair’
Work schedule: Monday to Friday 8-30 to 5, 1 hour lunch break
