AboUt the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide 1:1 support for students with special educational, social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing learning support in 1:1 situations
Developing knowledge of the needs of the child and seeking advice from SENCo, class teachers, and outside agencies
Aiding access to a full range of learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom
Creating and modifying resources as needed
Organizing and maintaining an inclusive learning environment
Facilitating inclusion in small group activities with peers
Attending training and relevant meetings to stay updated on best practices
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role is essential
Understanding of special educational needs and behavior management
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
