A fantastic opportunity to join a leading global trading company with international offices and services spanning across 70 countries. This organisation is recruiting a Senior Accountant for its central London based office.
This role will involve regular reporting on a set schedule (such as quarterly financial reporting). You will also oversee the work of two junior colleagues. The job opportunity offers a unique chance to obtain invaluable experience in project accounting, while also honing your skills in management accounting and financial reporting.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include:
* Preparation/review of management accounts and statutory accounts.
* Preparation/review of tax returns.
* Preparation/review of quarterly financial report for submission to head office.
* Preparation/ review of forecasts and budgets.
* Manage and support the work of the accounting assistants.
* Be the contact point for auditor and CIT advisors.
* Oversee the year end audit process.
* Be proactively involved in projects and working closely with the business development team.
* Assisting with other ad-hoc requests (e.g., internal audit).
The successful Senior Accountant will require:
* Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA).
* Experience of working in a similar role.
* Strong technical accounting skill set (knowledge of IFRS UK GAAP accounting standards essential).
* Interpretation and application of accounting standards including IFRS 15, 16, IAS 20.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence.
