Job Description:
The Role

We are searching for a Category Buyer who is able and responsible for sourcing in the UK and Europe. The ideal candidate will have great key stakeholder communication. Responsible for compliance with Procurement standards, methods, and processes. Reliable expert to share Procurement and category knowledge within and beyond own area.


Your Tasks
* Supplier selection, negotiation and contracting of local frame conditions with suppliers (prices, TCO, payment terms, quality levels, etc.) for locally managed categories towards objectives agreed with the demand owner.
* Contract management (coordination with legal department)
* Continuously monitoring the related activities for opportunities to maximise Procurement value contribution.
* Ensuring proper supplier selection (e.g., financial health, MSA, CoC, sustainability and quality guidelines, process know-how, etc.) to minimise supply risks for the affiliates of BDF.
* Actively managing supplier relationships to ensure suppliers are able and willing to fulfill BDF supply requirements.
* Actively working with suppliers to achieve innovative solutions.
* Complaint management for Suppliers. Responsible for performance of total spend in own category.
* Responsible for compliance with legal requirements, BDF Procurement and non- Procurement procedures. Responsible for POs approval.
* Maintenance and quality assurance of relevant master data for supported negotiation/contracting processes (e.g., category spends, contractual terms, supplier data).
* Actively drive process development with regards to standardisation, efficiency, and automation (incl. application of new technologies, implementation of purchase-related processes, methods and systems and monitor process adherence.
* Development and implementation of local strategies.
* Conducting regular market research & analysis for own categories.


Your Profile
* 2 years’ experience within procurement
* strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
* strong team player and networking capabilities
* process thinking, autonomy in deciding and acting
* SAP, MS Office environment proficiency
* Stakeholder communication and relationship building.
