Job Title: Fire Door Surveyor / Inspector
Location: Midlands / South (will involve travel)
Daily Rate: Competitive + Travel
Duration: 6-8 Weeks
This leading passive fire protection specialist, supplying a comprehensive range of third-party accredited survey, installation and compliance services to public and private sector organisations across the country is looking to recruit a team of Fire Door Surveyors for a newly awarded nationwide Contract.
You will be part of a team carrying out Fire Door surveys within the Education sector so a DBS is required.
Responsibilities:
* Complete visual inspections and surveys on fire doors to ensure they are up to compliance standards
* Produce reports and offer advice and recommendations to clients
* Have a good understanding of Timber Fire Doors, door surrounds and similar furniture
* Be able to identify that the frame specification is correct for the door’s rating
* Be able to ensure that the choice of Frame/lining/casing and intumescent smoke seals are compatible
* Have good working knowledge of current Health & Safety and other relevant legislation
Experience / Qualifications
* Fire Door Experience (Installation, Supervising, Surveying)
* Recognised Fire Door Related Qualification
* DBS
* Full UK driving license
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* IT literate, able to use microsoft suite and Tablet/PDA’s.
