Job Description:
A fantastic school based in Camden are looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join them for the 24/25 academic year. If you are looking for your next opportunity in a school where you can develop and grow confidence within the classroom, this may be the opportunity for you. The school offers a wealth of support, and you would be closely working with the SENCO, Senior Leadership and Classroom Teachers to enhance the outcomes for their students.
A learning support assistant has a variety of responsibilities in the classroom, and is essential to keeping a smooth and productive learning environment. Your role as an LSA is to support students on a 1-1 basis with their learning and development as well as deliver paired and small group teaching. You will have responsibilities of supervising and supporting pupils to engage in school activities and educational visits. Also, to support pupils to develop crucial life skills, meet their goals and aspirations through communication, independence and participation.
To excel in this role, you should have:
* A genuine passion for working with students with SEN or behavioural difficulties.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
* A willingness to collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student progress.
* Previous experience working in SEN or school settings
