Private Client Paralegal
up to £30k

Your experience working in the Private Client department, as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant is highly sought after by our client. They are seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join their Private Client team, providing invaluable support in delivering high-quality legal services. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to assist with wills, probate, trusts, and estate planning, all within a supportive and dynamic environment.
In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients, gathering necessary information and keeping them updated on case progress. You’ll also schedule and attend client meetings, taking detailed notes and ensuring follow-up actions are completed promptly.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Drafting and preparing legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and probate applications, ensuring all documents meet legal standards.
* Managing and organising client files will be a key part of your role, as well as conducting legal research to support case preparation and client advice.
* Assist in the administration of estates, from valuing assets to preparing estate accounts and liaising with beneficiaries. This includes preparing applications for grant of probate letters and administration, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal regulations and firm policies, particularly regarding confidentiality and data protection.
* Providing general administrative support to the Private Client team, including photocopying, scanning, and filing documents, will also be part of your day-to-day tasks. You will assist with billing and time recording activities, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in law or an equivalent qualification, such as the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL). Previous experience in a private client department is essential, particularly in advising and drafting wills, LPAs, and administering low-value probates.
This office-based role offers working hours from 9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. The firm provide on-the-job training to develop your expertise in private client law and there is potential for career progression within the firm.
