Job Description:
Contract Manager
Location: Buckinghamshire/remote
Our well established and reputable client is seeking a Contract Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The Contract Manager will oversee the creation, implementation, and management of contracts and procurement processes. Ensure all contracts are compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals. The Contract Manager will also assist in term negotiations and management of supplier relationships.
Responsibilities:
* Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
* Lead the procurement lifecycle, including supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring.
* Serve as the primary contact for contract and procurement requests, aligning strategies with business goals.
* Maintain a comprehensive contract database and liaise with outsourced legal support for complex issues.
* Analyse and report on supplier spend and financial performance, collaborating with finance for accurate budgeting.
* Implement continuous improvements by staying updated on industry trends, conducting audits, and enhancing processes.
Skills and Requirements:
* Experienced in contract management, procurement, and supplier management.
* Strong understanding of contract law, legal terminology, and concepts.
* Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and manage multiple priorities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
* Capable of working independently or as part of a team, with leadership and decision-making abilities.
* Adaptable with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
* Professional certification in contract management or procurement e.g. Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), legal qualification (Desirable)
