Job Description:
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Programme Management Office Lead until 31st March 2025 on a rate of £400-450/day Outside IR35. This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office. Travel across the Glasgow area will be required.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and maintenance of programme documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, workshops, and other programme events.
- Support the Programme Manager in tracking project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of programme plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure timely and effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintain accurate records of programme activities, decisions, and changes.
- Prepare and distribute regular status reports, meeting minutes, and action item lists.
- Ensure all programme documentation is stored in an organised and accessible manner.
- Assist in identifying, logging, and tracking programme risks and issues.
- Support the development of mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and support the implementation of enhancements.
- Participate in lessons learned sessions and contribute to the development of best practices.
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in a similar support role within a PMO or project management environment.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Desirable Skills:
- Certification in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is an advantage.
- Experience in a local authority and public sector would be advantageous.
