Anglian Water offers a flexible approach, this role provides you the flexibility to work from home and from an Anglian Water office. Your base location will be in one of our main offices, and providing you can get to the office 1-3 days a week, you could be based anywhere within the Anglian Water region.
The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal/Senior CFD Modeller to join our Asset Intelligence Modelling & Simulation Team. In this role, you will use advanced hydraulic models to analyse and enhance asset performance, identifying risks and developing innovative solutions. You will be a key player in driving technical excellence, fostering collaboration, and ensuring consistent, effective, and efficient solutions across our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver technical excellence in CFD modelling using tools such as ANSYS and OpenFOAM

* Lead the development of solutions and testing operating scenarios for new water and wastewater treatment assets, as well as diagnosing performance issues in existing assets.

* Provide technical direction and support across the team and to consultants, ensuring alignment with our technical ethos and strategic direction.

* Share knowledge and contribute to the continuous improvement of standards, specifications, and processes.

* Promote a culture of collaboration and integration, delivering exceptional service to customers, stakeholders, and the wider Anglian Water business.

What We’re Looking For:
* Extensive experience in CFD modelling within the Water industry.

* Experience with ANSYS Fluent and/or OpenFOAM

* In addition, experience in Surge/Transient modelling would be an advantage

* Strong technical expertise in modelling tools and the ability to convey complex information to non-engineering audiences.

* A degree in a relevant engineering discipline or demonstrable relevant experience; Chartered status or working towards it with a professional body.

* Proven leadership in delivering complex, system-based, and strategic modelling projects involving multiple stakeholders.

* Ability to manage, lead, and influence business-wide and industry stakeholders at all levels.

* A collaborative mindset, with the capability to integrate into various teams, share expertise, and drive innovative solutions.
