Our client based in Woking are seeking a Grounds Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and efficiency of waste management processes as well gardening and painting of the site. This role requires someone with experience in a similar role, and you must be available immediately to start!
Duties:
* Sort different waste materials into appropriate areas for recycling and disposal
* Liaise with waste collection points to coordinate waste management
* Unblock bin chutes in a timely manner
* Complete the cleaning cycle of the bin chute
* Utilise jet washing equipment to clean and maintain the paving areas
* Maintain and care for garden areas, including planting, watering, pruning, grass cutting and weeding
* Perform painting tasks, including preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying coatings to various surfaces
* Report any maintenance or repair needs
* Management of complaints/problems/issues arising
Requirements:
* Previous experience in waste management, cleaning, painting, gardening, or a related field
* Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Familiarity with cleaning techniques and equipment
* Ability to operate jet washing equipment would be advantageous
