Job Title: Senior Clinical Negligence Solicitor
Location: Chesterfield
Salary: £35,000 - £58,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

The Role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join a client’s team in Chesterfield. The successful candidate will handle a variety of clinical negligence cases and will be responsible for managing their own caseload as well as providing support and guidance to junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

* Handling a range of clinical negligence cases, including complex and high-value claims
* Managing your own caseload from inception to conclusion
* Conducting investigations, collating and reviewing evidence, instructing experts and preparing witness statements
* Drafting pleadings, schedules of loss, witness statements and other legal documentation
* Attending court hearings and conducting negotiations with opposing parties
* Providing guidance and support to junior colleagues
* Maintaining excellent client relationships and delivering a high-quality service
* Achieving and exceeding personal and team targets

Requirements:

* Qualified solicitor with at least 5 years’ experience in clinical negligence
* Strong technical knowledge and understanding of clinical negligence law
* Experience of handling a range of clinical negligence cases, including complex and high-value claims
* Ability to manage your own caseload and provide guidance and support to junior colleagues
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure
* Self-motivated, proactive and able to work on your own initiative
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills
