Job Description:
Job Title: Infrastructure Architect - Azure Cloud
Up to 85k + Car Allowance
Very flexible working - 1 day per month
Location: London / South Coast
Overview: I am representing a global retailer who are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Architect to lead the design and implementation of network and Azure cloud infrastructure solutions. This role involves close collaboration with platform teams, the wider architecture community, and various business stakeholders to ensure the delivery of resilient, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and improve infrastructure controls to ensure security, compliance, performance, and scalability.
* Define infrastructure strategy and oversee its implementation through a multi-year roadmap.
* Maintain architectural assets and best practices across infrastructure platforms.
* Provide technical leadership for on-premises, interconnect, and cloud infrastructure design.
* Foster strong relationships with external infrastructure service providers.
* Generate commercial and technical proposals for infrastructure solutions.
Qualifications:
* Extensive experience in infrastructure design for on-premise, hybrid, and multi-cloud solutions.
* Be able to work alongside network architects with a good understanding of network fundamentals
* Proficiency in virtualisation and containerisation technologies (VMware, HCI and Kubernetes).
* Expert knowledge / Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure.
* Azure Implementation and adoption in an Enterprise environment
* Strong understanding of authentication policies and IaaC enabling technologies (ARM, Terraform).
* Excellent interpersonal skills for working with business stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Relationships:
* Internal: Architecture and Engineering communities, business leads/stakeholders, project managers, IT service & support teams.
* External: Infrastructure vendors, technology and system integration partners.
