Job Description:
Fabricators for a 26 week contract based in Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth.
We are actively seeking multiple experienced and qualified Fabricators to join our client’s team for forthcoming contract-based opportunity in Plymouth.
About the Role:
Using your fabrication expertise, you will undertake structural repairs and alterations across a wide variety of platforms. This role involves working to precise engineering drawings and technical specifications to manufacture structural modules and fabricate or alter structures using various metals and thicknesses.
Key Responsibilities:
*Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
*Competently use general workshop tools and fabrication-specific machinery.
*Execute structural repairs and alterations on a range of platforms.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess one of the following:
*Level 3 Apprenticeship in sheet metal, structural, or fabrication OR
*Level 3 in Engineering relevant to the position of Fabricator OR
*Indentured Apprenticeship
Desired Experience:
*Previous experience in the marine engineering industry, particularly with Royal Navy ships and submarines, Royal Fleet Auxiliary vessels, or large commercial ships, is highly desirable.
*Experience from other engineering sectors will also be considered.
