Founding Software Engineer / Principal Developer (Python Node React) Hybrid WFH to £110k
Opportunity to become the Founding Software Engineer of a HealthTech Start-up, founded by two highly successful, Cambridge University educated management consultants, that is aiming to improve patient and social care for all.
As a Founding Software Engineer you will be responsible for the overall design and architecture of the products’ tech stack, the MVP has been written using Python, Node, TypeScript and React but you’ll make the technical decisions going forward and define the strategy for this Greenfield product, providing technical expertise.
You’ll be hands-on with coding, including complex business logic, authentication and security aspects, working across the full tech stack to create the beta product. In time you’ll help to recruit a team around you and progress to CTO / Head of Engineering.
Location / WFH:
The company has office space in London so you’ll join them there once or twice a week, work from home and also visit clients in the South West to gather requirements and liaise on bespoke product development.
About you:
* You have expertise with software engineering best practices, experience across the full development lifecycle and tech stack
* The current MVP is in Python, Node, TypeScript and React so knowledge of these is beneficial but you could be from any software development background
* You’re able to assess, recommend and make technical decisions with long-term product strategy in mind
* You have strong technical project leadership skills and experience of working with clients
* You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* You are degree educated in Computer Science or similar technical discipline
* Experience with RBAC systems would be beneficial
