Job Purpose * Manage a significant portfolio of personal tax clients, monitoring the commercial aspects of portfolio management
* Oversee the provision of personal tax advice across the team
* Oversee complex tax planning, ensuring compliance and quality service at every step
* Mentor junior staff by reviewing work and providing constructive mentorship
* Monitor team performance, identifying knowledge gaps and providing training as needed
* Work directly with Directors and Partners to ensure deadlines and fee recovery targets are met
* Build trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem solving
* Keep up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team

The Successful Applicant * CTA / ATT qualified or part qualified
* Qualified by experience also considered
* A strong background working in a personal tax role within practice
* Proven people management experience, with a track record of mentoring junior staff
* Excellent knowledge of tax compliance processes, issues, and regulations
* Self-motivated, reliable and eager to progress
* Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency
* Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
* Commercial business acumen
