If yes, then an exciting opportunity has opened for you. We are looking for a Finance Director to join the team of this Cambridge University College. Reporting to the Bursar, you will be using your technical accounting, leadership and financial planning and strategy skills and experience to shape the finance function and how the College operates on a commercial basis.
Responsibilities will include:
* Leading finance team, with direct and indirect reports.
* Long-term financial planning, offering strategic advice to the Bursar and non-finance stakeholders.
* Preparation of statutory accounts.
* Production of monthly management accounts.
* Monitor capital expenditure against budgets and cash flows.
* Establish appropriate internal financial controls.
* Manage treasury, cashflow and banking.
* Financial analysis and management information.
* Manage external relationships such as auditors, banks and insurance.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Qualified professional accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
* Experience of leading finance teams
* Good technical accounting knowledge
* Excellent IT skills
* Outstanding problem-solving and communication skills
