Account Manager (PR & Digital)
Hybrid , Nottingham City Centre
The successful Account Manager should have a thorough understanding of the required media and communication skills and who is fully in control of the media tools available to create the required media coverage, as well as social, digital and marketing communications outputs and outcomes.
The role should be to carry out the execution of the strategies and activities as detailed by their account directors, ensuring that programmes and objectives are being adheredto, and that their accounts are well organised. This is a move into a proactive role. Thinking ahead, planning ahead and understanding that researching and presenting new opportunities for the client is part of the day to day.
Managing an exciting portfolio of of 4 / 5 business clients
Skill Requirements
Written Work
* Writing coherent and factually accurate press releases that only require exceptional amends from seniors and clients. Ability to draft feature copy for trade, corporate and business publications for clientthat is well informed and appropriate to the end user with minimal client ormedia amendment. Amending and improving press releases, internal copy for newsletters etc. drafted by account executives. Finally proof reads all written material. Capable of assisting with the preparation of creative new business proposals with direction from account director, and drafting evaluation reports, speeches andpresentations as required.
Digital Skills
* Contributing proactive ideas to ensure and maintain the success of the clients, and leading on the development of social media plans and strategies. Builds strategic conversation and engaging content across all social and digitalplatforms. Managing of online communities. Manages the client’s website and social media channels including Facebook, LinkedIn, X, blogs etc. Is responsible for the website’s design, content and functionality. Provides innovative social media solutions to client’s problems, constantly monitors trends in social media platforms and applications.
Media Skills
* Complete understanding of how the media works in the particular areas in which you operate
Meetings
* To lead meetings. Ensuring that preparation for the meeting is well organised and that account directors or seniors are fully briefed on meeting contents. Taking a key role in presentations to existing client and at new business pitches.
General Skills
* Works with the Account Directors and other team members to develop effective and profitable programmes for digital clients. Lead new business brainstorms and have a creative input in all new business pitches within account group. Finally proof read all written material before content shared with Directors and clients. Mature ability to brief designers, photographers, printers in a knowledgeable and precise manner, negotiate costs etc., and manage quality control deadline problems etc. Have a full understanding of financial controls on all accounts, mark-up rules and budgeting procedures. Commission and analyse research including surveys and focus groups.
People Management
To motivate and supervise a team - to plan work effectively and deliver a high standard of work at all times - and play a role in the skill development of junior team members Nurture and inspire other Account Managers as well as members of the whole team
