Their Real Estate team is ranked in the top band by Chambers UK and The Legal 500 and covers all aspects of commercial property litigation and different asset classes. We are now looking for an exceptional Real Estate Disputes Associate to join their busy, successful, and highly regarded Real Estate team.
Real Estate Disputes Associate
London - hybrid working from home.
£164-208K plus excellent benefits package.
To be successful in this role:
You will be a confident Real Estate Disputes Associate, with around one to three years post-qualification experience (or equivalent experience) and a strong focus on commercial landlord and tenant, real property and development related work.
Other requirements for this role include:
* A strong academic background (minimum 2.1 degree) with excellent written communication and drafting skills
* Outstanding technical skills, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues and work well in a team
* Experience of managing an independent case load and working as a member of a larger team
* Experience will preferably have been gained at a leading City or regional firm
Job role and responsibilities:
As a Real Estate Disputes Associate, you will be involved in dealing with and advising on matters covering all aspects of commercial real estate disputes. This will include acting for the team’s core client base of leading institutional investors, private equity houses, lenders and others on all aspects of contentious landlord and tenant and real property matters, as well as advising on development related disputes and potentially other specialist areas including real estate insolvency, professional negligence and building defects claims. The role involves a mixture of advising independently on smaller/medium sized matters and performing a lead associate role supporting partners and senior team members on larger matters including trials.
Other key responsibilities and accountabilities for this role include:
* Understanding of legal principles of own practice area, along with a working knowledge of other practice areas
* Project management responsibility, ensuring timely delivery to high quality standards
* Aware of legal developments affecting any specialist areas and regularly attends appropriate training sessions
* Good working relationships with clients
* A good understanding of client, the sector and the associated risks and opportunities
* Actively works to develop and strengthen new client relationships
* Strong relationships and profile amongst senior and junior colleagues
* Ability to work effectively with others whilst also managing and taking responsibility for an individual case load
* Understands the industry and market in which the practice team and clients operate
* Contributes to the management of the group/practice area by understanding the firm’s capabilities and business plan
* Takes an active role in managing the firm’s reputation both in and out of work
* Understands the responsibility to give back to our communities
* Understands the value of a diverse workforce
