LEAD RISK REPORTING ANALYST
UP TO £75,000
LONDON
This is a new opportunity to sit in the business’ Risk and Compliance function, where you will be responsible for the analysis of the bank’s credit MI, provisions and risk appetite metrics.

This company is a specialist bank supporting UK businesses and individuals. They offer business finance, development finance, and specialist mortgages.
THE ROLE
You will be doing the following daily:
* Oversee the ongoing production of IFRS 9 expected losses, including analysis and explanation of key drivers.
* Continuously enhance IFRS 9 management information to provide insights and drive recommendations.
* Collaborate with credit analytics, model development, finance, and business intelligence teams to streamline the monthly reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Support the validation and audit of models and manage the entire model lifecycle.
* Implement new IFRS 9 models and make changes and enhancements to existing model suites, ensuring compliance with bank standards and regulatory requirements.
* Maintain and improve an effective data structure for efficient model risk management.
* Provide bespoke analytics to help the front-line business understand its overall risk profile.
* Offer analytical insights into risk appetite thresholds.
* Support the development of the bank’s next generation of IFRS 9 models, potentially involving external suppliers.
* Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with 1st Line businesses and functions to support business objectives while maintaining effective controls.
* Understand internal and external data, infrastructure, and reporting requirements, coordinating these with effective analytical solutions.
* Stay aware of alternative modelling techniques to identify and alleviate risk.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Strong understanding of IFRS9 model requirements.
* IFRS9 model development experience is beneficial.
* Strong SAS skills.
* Experience in change management, including implementation of changes into models.
* Strong academic background in a STEM field.
* Strong data analysis skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
