Job Description:
Quality Manager – Day Shift (MUST HAVE FOOD/DRINK MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE)
Location: Andover
Salary: £40,000 - £43,000
Are you passionate about maintaining the highest standards in food safety and quality? Join our team in Andover as a Quality Manager and lead our Quality Assurance (QA) function to new heights.
Key Responsibilities:
* Line Management: Oversee the QA function within our business, ensuring excellence in all quality-related activities.
* Stakeholder Support: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, providing a strong presence on the factory floor to educate and drive improvements in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, quality, and overall compliance.
* Audit Preparedness: Ensure the facility is always audit-ready, meeting all regulatory and customer standards.
* Systems Implementation: Implement, embed, and monitor systems and procedures generated by the Technical department to maintain and enhance quality standards.
* Food Safety Testing: Ensure microbiological, water quality, and other necessary food safety testing is conducted to meet customer requirements, and support corrective actions as needed.
* Taste Panels Management: Manage taste panels, communicate results to relevant departments, and support initiatives to identify and rectify controllable quality issues.
* Process Validations: Support with process validations and manage the calibration schedule to maintain the integrity of our processes.
* Customer Complaints: Assist with customer complaints investigations and contribute to complaint and micro reduction projects.
* Promote Food Safety Culture: Support and promote an improved food safety and quality culture across the business.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience in a similar quality management role within the food industry.
* Strong knowledge of GMP, food safety standards, and quality compliance.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with various departments to drive continuous improvements.
