The Role
We are currently seeking a skilled Wood Sander/Prepper/Painter to join our clients production team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for preparing wood surfaces for finishing by sanding, smoothing, and prepping them to perfection and then painting the finished article.
* Operate sanding equipment and hand tools to smooth wood surfaces.
* Sanding wood items to prepare them for finishing.
* Preparing wood products for painting, including cleaning, filling, and priming.
* Applying paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes to wood products
* Inspecting finished products for quality and consistency.
* Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
* Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the work area.
Successful Applicants
* Previous experience in wood sanding, prepping and painting.
* Proficiency in operating sanding equipment and hand tools.
* Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and processes.
Hours: 08:00-17:00
Shift: Monday to Friday
Pay: £12.00 - £14.00ph (dependant on experience)
