6-Month Contract in Plymouth (potential for extension)

£12.66 per hour plus holiday pay

Office based in Plymouth with travel around the city required

Position: Digital Inclusion Worker
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Location: Plymouth, UK

About the Role:

As a Digital Inclusion Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing digital literacy within the Plymouth community. Your mission will be to engage with residents, providing them with the knowledge and tools they need to access online services, stay connected, and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
* Engage with residents through workshops, one-on-one sessions, and community events to promote digital literacy.
* Assist individuals in setting up and using digital devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and computers.
* Provide training on navigating the internet, using email, accessing online services, and staying safe online.
* Collaborate with local organizations and stakeholders to identify and support those most in need of digital inclusion.
* Monitor and report on the progress of participants, adjusting strategies to meet their evolving needs.
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine desire to help others.
* Experience in a teaching, mentoring, or community engagement role.
* Solid understanding of digital technologies and online platforms.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, accessible manner.
* Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
