Job Description:
MERJE has partnered with a leading multi-strategy investment firm and we’re on the lookout for a talented Compliance Officer join their London team. This role supports a team of two experienced Compliance specialists and will focussed on helping them establish a robust EMEA Legal and Compliance platform as the company continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
*Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance monitoring program
*Code of ethics/personal account dealing monitoring
*Market abuse trade surveillance
*Support compliance framework for new products and markets
*Senior Managers and Certification Regime compliance
*Oversee MiFID 2 research
*Best execution monitoring
Qualifications:
*5-7 years of relevant compliance experience, ideally gained in a buy-side firm
*Strong understanding of UK and EU regulatory requirements (including FCA Handbook rules, particularly relating to MiFID 2 requirements)
*Undergraduate degree with relevant certifications (e.g., CISI, CFA, FRM)
*Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
*Proactive and thrives in a complex, dynamic environment
*Exercises sound commercial judgement
*Team player with strong ethical standards and high integrity
