The Company
A leading technology enabled service; this organisation works with a diverse portfolio of clients predominately across large scale sporting, festival and public events as well as prestigious award ceremonies and corporate conferences. Offering fully bespoke and often incredibly complex technology solutions, they are a leader in their market and fully committed to providing their clients with an unmatched service of quality and efficiency.
Their small team of Developers and Project Managers are passionate and ambitious resulting in a collaborative and enthusiastic working culture. They are now looking to build the team with a senior level business development skill set to assist with the ongoing growth of the organisation.
The Role
As Business Development Director you will operate as a senior member of the team and take the lead on building and activating a solutions driven sales strategy. Responsibilities will include:
-          Creating and implementing a business development strategy
-          Developing existing client relationships to encourage increased revenue
-          Proactively identifying new business prospects with brand new clients
-          Unearthing opportunities for client meetings and pitch delivery
-          Creating winning proposals and pitches
-          Actively pitching to secure new projects
-          Collaborating with the Development and Project Management teams
-          Carrying out competitor analysis to understand gaps in the market
-          Producing and analysing data relating to market trends and sales performance
-          Supporting the team with technical advances and development of the existing product
The Candidate
We are seeking candidates with a solid knowledge of the live event industry and proven business development/sales experience at a senior level. Candidates will ideally have some experience in a technology or technically driven event organisation however other event based backgrounds will be considered. An event/production agency, event supplier or an event technical/AV provider background would be advantageous.
