Job Description:
* Job Role: Permanent Housekeeper
* Location : Bracknell
* Salary - 26k
* Shifts: 5 out of 7 days
* Times: 7-3.00pm each day - Sundays- 08.00am to 4pm - 40 hours a week
Job Spec
We are looking for an experience Housekeeper to join a 3 star rated hotel located in Bracknell. You will be changing over 46 bedrooms at a family run hotel set within 10 acres of tranquil Berkshire countryside. The times are 5 out of 7 days a week at times 07.00-15.00.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of 46 bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets, bar, and lounge area.
Experience is preferred in a Similar Role. Competitive Salary plus uniform, 30% Food and Beverage Discount in our Restaurant.
Due to the location of the hotel there is limited public transport so the ideal candidate should be able to drive due to the start and finish times of the different shifts. Hours of work Rotas will be on a shift basis to include the following shifts - 7-3.00pm each day - Sundays- 08.00am to 4pm - The role does require you to be able to work weekends, bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
* Rearranging guest rooms completely
* Vacuuming hard and soft floors, carpets door mats and rugs and mopping floors
* Bathroom cleaning, scrubbing and sanitising shower, bathtubs, toilets countertops and sinks
* Replenishment and stocking of inventory of housekeeping supplies
* Dusting and surface cleaning such as Furniture, fixtures and polishing,
* Changing bed linens and making beds and setting them according to company guidelines
* General tidying up.
* Ironing (when required)
* Occasionally deep/spring cleaning, including inside windows and interior cleaning of cabinets and closets
* Reporting any damages that occur to the seniors
* Returning Room service trays to kitchen/bar
* Laundry Management and checking of stock
* Liaising with Kitchen and Managers with regards to orders and ensuring enough
* Stock for the rooms
* Filling up trolley ready for following day
* Cleaning of Outside Pods.
Requirements
* Attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
* Experience of working as a housekeeper in hotels or care homes dept
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
* Good communication skills.
* Using initiative with any ad hoc tasks that need completing.
