Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Senior Credit Controller.
My client is look for a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join their accounts team on a temporary to permanent basis for an immediate start.
This Senior Credit Controller will provide the Finance Director support. There is the opportunity to supervise the Purchase Ledger Clerk and Finance Administrator, also managing financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing credit control and conducting credit checks on customers
* Releasing sales orders and ensuring compliance with credit policies
* Performing monthly UK VAT reconciliation and bi-monthly Ireland VAT reconciliation
* Entering manual journal entries accurately
* Calculating monthly service profitability and managing fixed assets and depreciation
* Posting stock invoices and agreeing balances at month-end
* Completing and maintaining the monthly management account spreadsheet
* Resolving customer queries efficiently and effectively
* Preparing and posting monthly prepayments
* Preparing weekly cash flow reports
* Conducting daily bank reconciliation and posting payments and receipts
* Authorising bank payments and processing payment runs in the absence of the Purchase Ledger Clerk
Experience:
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Strong knowledge of credit control, VAT reconciliation, and financial reporting
* Advanced Excel skills (V-Lookups) and experience with SAP essential
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Qualifications:
* Relevant accounting or finance qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA)
This role is offering:
* Salary £30,000
* Hours of Work Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
