Maintenance Engineer / Technician
Location: Solihull
Position: Maintenance Engineer / Technician
A world-renowned company at the forefront of automotive innovation is seeking skilled Maintenance Engineers to join their dynamic and growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work with iconic brands, contributing to a legacy of excellence and pushing the boundaries of automotive automation engineering.
Key Qualifications (Mandatory):
* Relevant qualificationssuch as an advanced modern apprenticeship, Level 3 NVQ/BTEC, or equivalent ismandatory.
* Proven experience in a similar role within maintenance operations, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
* Technical skills in automotive engineering, both mechanical and electrical.
* Expertise in Fault Finding, with a preference for experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley is ideal).
* Knowledge of Electrical Control and Mechanical Systems.
* Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient equipment performance within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People & Environment framework.
* Drive cost reduction initiatives by identifying root causes of faults and implementing permanent corrective actions.
* Contribute to the achievement of preventative maintenance (PPM) targets, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment function.
* Provide technical support during breakdowns (TPM), ensuring quick and safe recovery of all facilities and controls.
* Achieve set objectives for equipment service and repair, adhering to best practices in safety and efficiency.
Shift Patterns and Compensation:
Shift Choice 1: "322" Shift Pattern
* 12-hour shifts (night shift inclusive)
* Pay rate: £43.73 Umbrella PAYE per hour.
* Overtime rates apply.
Shift Choice 2: Rotating Shifts (Earlies to Lates)
* No night shift included.
* Pay rate: £36.02 Umbrella PAYE per hour.
* Overtime rates apply.
