About the business:
Our client is a leading regional law firm with an excellent presence in the local market. Their employees are at the heart of their culture which can be demonstrated with their low staff turnover and excellent employee benefits package.
They are now looking to bring on a Legal Cashier to the team.
If successful, you will perform the following role as Legal Cashier.
* Assist the firm with accounts queries.
* Process daily financial payments, receipts, and transfers.
* Perform necessary morning checks on previous day’s work and produce prints for Finance Manager.
* Perform day end balancing procedures.
* Post bills and credit notes as required.
* Process Switch and credit card payments both over the phone and face-to-face.
* Petty cash balancing - to incorporate identifying and rectifying errors.
* Bankline payments - Control.
* Bankline payments - input and authorize.
* Monitor and update incoming BGC receipts.
* Time entry write offs and transfers.
* Investigate residual client and office balances and liaise with fee earners where necessary.
* Deposit interest calculations as required by staff.
* Process employees’ expense claims.
* Maintain and update the client suspense account to allocate or return funds when required.
* Monitor flow of incoming work, check, and verify ready for posting.
