H9 Technical Recruitment are hiring for a Solar and BESS Operations Manager to work for our energy services client in South East of England to be responsible for overseeing major renewable energy projects across the UK
Role and Responsibilities:
* Leading the team of Senior project managers, project managers and site based staff on multiple projects (10+ at range of £5 -£40m valve each)
* Maintaining & building the team to deliver a growing number of solar & BESS projects
* Create and execute project delivery plans / programmes with assistance of planner and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
* Manage construction with responsibility for Health & Safety compliance at all levels
* Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the projects
* Manage the costs in line within the agreed budget, seeking to ensure that operational efficiencies are attained where possible
* Ensure that staff and subcontractors are working in accordance with UK standards, legislation and Safe Systems of Work.
* Maintain relationships with key clients and suppliers
* Produce site survey reports for new projects in development
* Facilitate team and client meetings effectively
* Support the Energy Construction Director in delivering business strategy, building the team, delivering projects and driving excellent team performance and client satisfaction
Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous senior project management or operational management experience within utility-scale ground mounted solar PV industry
* Experience in reviewing drawings, specifications, scopes
* Previous exposure to H&S, budget and programme responsibility
* Qualified at HNC level; relevant industry training (SMSTS, CDM, IOSH)
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deal with client, supply chain and employees
