Job description We are hiring for Customer Delivery Drivers to join our team of agency workers to carry out deliveries for one of the world’s largest Dot.com online grocery retailers.
About the Role:
Your role will be to deliver groceries and household products to our customers in Greater and Central London and also the surrounding areas.
We are looking for a person with exceptional customer service skills, who is capable of building strong relationships with our customers. You will be able to demonstrate flexibility and integrity, whilst being legally compliant in your duties. You will take pride in your work and be part of a great team, delivering to our customer base.
We expect our Delivery Drivers to exceed customer expectations and use their initiative to deal calmly and efficiently with unexpected situations. This job may entail working with heavy products and involves lifting.
Please note that due to the nature of the role, your shift can over run so must be flexible.
Duties:
* Safely and efficiently operate a commercial 3.5 tonne manual van to deliver to our customers
* Load and unload products from the delivery vehicle
* Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher
* Ensure accurate and timely delivery of products to customers
* Handling products with care
* Communicate with customers in a professional and friendly manner
A Driver Assessment will be required for this role as well as other training.You will therefore need to be available for this.
Essential skills, experience and qualifications:
Full UK Manual Driving Licence (No more than 3 penalty points)
Well-presented, customer-focused, and offer ’perfect door-step customer experience’
Shift Pattern: We are operational 7 days per week therefore weekend work is required for this role.
Shifts are all 8 hours:
AM - 05.30-14.00
PM - 14.00-22.00 (varied start times within these shifts)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £13.92 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 48 per week
