Job Description:
Our client, a leading District Heating organisation has a fantastic opportunity for a Delivery Director to join their growing team. The Delivery Director will have proven commercial contract experience and will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of a portfolio of large scale District Heating projects.
The Delivery Director will come from either a commercial construction, district heating or utilities and energy background with experience of managing large budgets, reducing risk and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities for the Delivery Director
* Lead Projects through the Construction and Commercial teams of the business.
* Ensure to the best of your ability the projects are well run and successfully delivered.
* Ensure compliance with all HSE Policies and procedures and that they are implemented and being followed.
* Construction delivery of projects safely, on time and on budget. Through both self-delivery and contract models.
* Ensure the delivery Contracts are well understood, managed and contractually implemented in a timely manner.
* Ensure that sufficient resources are available to deliver the projects.
* Monitor projects and report on progress against targets.
Key Experience for the Delivery Director
* The successful candidate will have extensive experience in Construction Contract Management
* Experienced operator in delivering multi-disciplinary projects
* Operating at a Senior level in their current role and will be able to demonstrate the ability to reduce project risk, add valve and challenge internal and externally to achieve Project aims
* Worked in Commercial and/or Construction with at least 5 years’ experience leading Project management
* Knowledge of heat networks is not essential, but knowledge of Utilities provision is desirable
