At Ilkley Brickwork, we are dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience to our customers. Our core values drive everything we do. We are now on the lookout for an experienced Contract Structural Engineer to work on diverse projects on an ad-hoc basis.
Responsibilities but not limited to:-
Working closely with our design and construction teams, you will be responsible for analysing structural designs, conducting site inspections, and providing expert guidance throughout the construction process as well as the following:
* Read and analyse structural engineering reports.
* Apply findings to develop comprehensive repair schemes, particularly Helifix repairs.
* Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and efficiently to meet project deadlines.
* Utilise prior experience to effectively address project requirements.
* Possess a solid background in structural engineering.
* Compile and communicate detailed scopes of work to the Production Lead and provide high level guidance for implementation.
* Repair schemes and scopes of work to satisfy requirements for warranty issue.
* Willingness to travel to various sites as needed.
* Proficiency in CAD/Sketch Up drawing is preferred.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
* Previous experience in structural engineering.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
