Project Accountant

We are seeking a technically strong Project Accountant to join our finance team in Plymouth. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in the financial management of projects, particularly focusing on the acquisition and integration of new businesses.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Collaborate with the CFO and Financial Controller to deliver professional financial board reports, extracting data from Netsuite and presenting it in PowerPoint for analysis.
* Support financial aspects of the acquisition process, including desktop financial evaluation, preparation of business cases, capital raise activities, due diligence, and integration of financial records.
* Assist with short-term and long-term cash flow forecasting and treasury management.
* Maintain the group’s long-term financial model.
* Take a key role in the preparation of the annual budget.
* Support the Financial Controller with management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations as required.
* Liaise with year-end accountants/auditors and fulfill their requests.
* Provide support across the finance function in a growing business.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experienced MAAT or CCAB qualified accountant.
* A self-starter with excellent team-playing capabilities.
* Strong communication skills.
* Proficiency in using accounting software.
* Competent with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
