My client is an international design and manufacturing organisation, with a fantastic reputation in a multitude of different industries. They are well established, with an impressive history over the last 60 years.
There is the rate opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join and support their Procurement function, reporting to the Tactical Procurement Manager. You will work with the team to ensure the cost effective and timely delivery of materials to the business in line with MRP system requirements whilst maintaining stock holding targets.
Experience:
* Previous knowledge of production / inventory management in a manufacturing environment and end to end procurement process / MRP / ERP systems, ideally 3+ years working experience
* Ability to work to a high level of detail and accuracy with strong commercial awareness
* Proficient oral and written communication skills
* Confident and adept interpersonal skills
* Competent user of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel
* Proficient negotiation skills and the ambition to develop procurement skillset to an increased technical and strategic level
* Ability to work as part of a team and to lead or support cross functional improvement initiatives in a fast moving environment
